Branding Outfits & Styling Guide
Designed with intention. Styled with purpose.
Your branding portraits are more than beautiful images — they are visual assets created to support your business, elevate your presence, and communicate confidence wherever your brand appears.
This guide is designed to help you choose outfits, colors, and details that photograph beautifully and align with your professional identity. Every styling decision plays a role in how your brand is perceived — from your website and social media to marketing materials and media features.
Through intentional lighting, refined compositions, and guided posing, we'll create portraits that feel polished, authentic, and unmistakably you. Preparing your wardrobe thoughtfully allows us to focus fully on your story and create images that work hard for your brand.

General Wardrobe Guidelines
We recommend bringing 3–5 thoughtfully chosen outfits that allow us to create variety while maintaining a cohesive brand look.
- Choose pieces that reflect your personality and professional presence (modern, classic, creative, approachable, bold, refined — all are welcome)
- Avoid loud logos, busy patterns, and neon tones unless they are central to your brand identity
- Select well-fitted garments — tailoring makes a noticeable difference on camera
- Try everything on in advance to ensure comfort and confidence
- Steam or iron outfits and bring them on hangers for a polished experience
- Shoes matter — bring footwear that complements each look, or plan intentionally for barefoot portraits if appropriate
Accessories & Details
Small details elevate a portrait when chosen with intention.
- Jewelry, watches, eyewear, scarves, or textured layers can enhance a look
- Keep accessories balanced — avoid anything overly distracting unless it's part of your brand expression
- Feel free to bring a meaningful prop if it supports your story (notebook, laptop, camera, tools of your trade, art piece, instrument, etc.)
Need Help Choosing?
You don't need to decide alone.
- Send photos of outfit options — laid out or worn — and I'll help guide the final selections
- If you've created a Pinterest board or mood board, feel free to share it
- We'll align colors, textures, and styling with your brand vision during preparation
Styling Directions We Love
1. Casual & Modern Branding

Ideal for relaxed, approachable branding imagery with a clean, contemporary feel. Perfect for websites, social media, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
Works beautifully with:
- All white or all black looks — timeless, clean, and powerful — especially strong for black & white portraits
- Denim paired with soft neutrals — cream, beige, blush, soft gray, pale blue
- Coordinated color palettes — choose 2–3 complementary tones aligned with your brand identity for visual cohesion
This direction feels confident, current, and effortless.
2. Dark Background: Classic, Elegant & Bold

Designed for brands that want to communicate authority, leadership, and polish. Ideal for hero images, website banners, media features, and speaking engagements.
Styling suggestions:
- Structured blazers, tailored suits, or refined separates
- Sleek dresses with clean silhouettes
- Statement accessories that align with your brand voice
- Rich, confident tones — navy, emerald, burgundy, charcoal, deep neutrals
- Luxurious textures — satin, velvet, fine knits, lace accents
This look speaks to expertise, confidence, and presence.
3. Environmental & Lifestyle Branding

Our studio includes thoughtfully designed setups that create the feeling of an office, creative space, or professional environment — without the distractions of a public location.
These portraits are ideal for:
- Personal websites
- About pages
- Editorial-style branding
- Authentic, connection-focused imagery
Outfits here should feel natural, intentional, and aligned with how your clients experience you day-to-day.
4. Creative & Expressive Branding

For brands that allow space for personality, artistry, or storytelling.
This direction is perfect for:
- Campaign imagery
- Editorial content
- Creative entrepreneurs
- Social media where memorability matters
We can explore:
- Statement pieces or bold silhouettes
- Thoughtful use of color or texture
- Concept-driven looks
- Meaningful cultural, artistic, or heritage-inspired elements
If you have something special — a vintage piece, handmade item, or a specific concept — we can intentionally design part of your session around it.
Final Preparation Tips
- Hair & makeup should feel like you, just slightly more polished (camera lighting softens details)
- Comfort always comes first — confidence photographs best
- Bring a lint roller, especially for darker clothing
- Choose undergarments that support each outfit cleanly
- If something feels stiff, itchy, or inauthentic — skip it
And most importantly:
You don't need to worry about posing. I'll guide you every step of the way so you can relax
and focus on showing up as yourself.
If you have questions while preparing, I'm always here.
I can't wait to create branding portraits that truly reflect you and the business you've built.
Warmly,
Olga
